While Australia wrestles to find a way ahead for the manufacturing sector, much of the pioneering research into making things is happening on the software side.
California-based multinational software company Autodesk will invest up to $100m in 3D printing companies over the next few years, encouraging entrepreneurs, start-ups and researchers to push boundaries.
Autodesk’s Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific region, Patrick Williams spoke to the ABC’s Ticky Fullerton on The Business in November 2014.
